A Deep Dive into Regenerative Harvest, Timber Processing and Timber Frame Joinery.

A one month immersion that will leave you confident to Regeneratively harvest and process trees. Additionally this offering will give you a solid introduction to Round Pole Timberframing. This is for you if you want to build your own structure from materials you harvest in a human scaled traditional way infused with modern tips and tricks for efficiency.
This is the structure we will be working on… It is based on a tea house from the islands off the coast of Japan. We have innovated the design to be more basic European style joinery. We have completed and erected the wall frame and will be focusing on the roof /loft structure. We will be assembling the roof structure upon completion.
We will be sharing how to use and care for the timeless tools originally used by the journeyman of antiquity. We will also be using tools of modern efficiency including a mortise plunger and jigs created assist in precision and efficiency.

Typical daily structure:
7am morning movement (optional)
8am all organic breakfast
9am hands on class
12:30pm all organic lunch & siesta
2pm lecture
3pm hands on class
6:30pm all organic dinner
8pm slide show presentations ( at least 2 over the course of the offering)
