A medicine gathering held by the honoring of ceremonial musics of East and West Africa and beyond.
5 Days of Music and Medicine
In this 5 days, in the open arms of the forest spirits and guides of the seven directions we will lean in to a fusion of tradition spawn of the Africas and beyond to connect the realms through rhythm, melody and voice.
This weekend is for you if you have a particular interest in music as a vehicle for collective trance states. We will be co-creating musical containers orchestrated by Chris and friends to blend traditional rhythms with what we gather from other realms. We are exited to weave in the traditions and the living expression you carry.
This is not a class or a workshop although there will be learning. We ask that if you feel called to participate that you fill in the interest form and then we will send you a link for you to register and reciprocate.

The Invite
We invite you to participate in this small gathering if you have been practicing your instrument(s) and/or tradition(s) on your own under the guidance of your teacher(s) long enough to build on simplicity and the intricacy of silence. If you feel called to participate through space holding there is very limited invite.
On the first day of the gathering Chris will be offering Matari Medicine for an additional cost, which is returned to the village and tradition of origin in Zimbabwe. Chris is the only person outside of Zimbabwe to carry this profound medicine.
During the day and early evening we will enjoy sessions of full volume play and later evening into the wee hours if the calling is there we will continue to share the vibe around the fire and temple spaces.
On Saturday evening we will enjoy a late lunch of Organic Mafe (West African peanut sauce dish) and then in the Golden Hour we will call in the seven directions to help us create a safe and sacred space to share a sacrement of Hauchuma Medicine. We will then light up all the lanterns for a a procession in to the forrest where we will spend the night together making offerings to the sacred fire. Near by, in ears distance of the musics of the sacred fire, the altar in the grief grove will also be lit for folks who need a safe place to lay down their griefs with in the container of celebration we will co-create.
Leaning on the offerings of those that have shared their ways with us we will branch out by trusting in the magic of the moments together.

We will offer a gentle sauna on Friday night to make room for what wants to come through for the remainder of the gathering.
Saturday night candle lantern lit musical procession into the forrest and the watering of the seed of inspiration in each of our hearts with Hauchuma Sacrement.
What is Huachuma Medicine?
Huachuma is South Americas most Sacred Cactus Medicine.
Hauchuma opens our hearts and invites us into deep remembering of who we are and our relationship to Mother Earth. Working with master teacher Hauchuma is a way to align the heart, health, and hands through the mind, body, spirit connection.
We goto Grandpa Hauchuma to pray, connect deeper with place, invoke spiritual insight, and heal on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
We prayerfully grow, prepare, and serve this medicine as a sacrement and offering of support in becoming the best possible version of yourself.
